Did Fitflops Cure My Back?
Two weeks after I had bought my first pair of fitflops I began to notice that the pain in my back had eased. I didn’t take too much notice of this as quite often it did ease without explanation. I had bought the fitflops for their claimed ability to banish cellulite and what I had noticed was that as soon as I put them on I felt more upright which may sound silly but if you suffer with backache as I do you often feel as though you are twisted to one side. I could feel my muscles tightening when I wore them and from what I read this meant that they were doing me good though I had not really noticed a difference in my legs or bottom but it was early days.
Mt monthly shopping trip was due and I dreaded it knowing I would suffer severe back pain as I always did as soon as I walked into the shop. I was half way thru my shopping when I realised that I only had a slight backache nothing like the severe pain I usually experienced. I completed my shopping without having to stop once which had never happened before and suddenly I was elated. Could it be my fitflops? I was a bit dubious as the manufacturers made no claim to curing back pain. Tlhey had been designed for busy people to “workout as they walked” so perhaps my back was just being kind to me for once.
When I returned home I went straight to the internet and looked at the reviews for fitflops and was amazed to find that I was not alone in crediting my fitflops with curing my back pain. There were more than a few others who claimed relief from not only back pain but from knee pain and ankle problems. My $50 was certainly well spent.
Project Yoga Mats
My son came home from school today with a project he had to do at school. He had to write about a subject and give a presentation on it. They each had to pick a subject that was a bit strange and would take a lot of research on the internet to learn about. These subjects were then drawn out and you got whatever someone else had selected for you. My son said he had put down bicycle seats but he had drawn out yoga mats. What a subject to have to write about.
He spent some time reading about them on the internet. He told me and his dad that there were more yoga mats than you could ever imagine and there were a host of different colors, materials, sizes and thicknesses and that they even had biodegradable ones and eco-friendly ones. His dad and I were overwhelmed by the information and wondered how teachers could spend their time listening to presentations that were hardly exciting.
He wrote quite a lot for his project and that was after he had dragged me down to the mall to look at some actual yoga mats. He asked me why I did not take up yoga as it seemed very interesting. I promised I would look at the idea and he was happy with that. He finished his project and said that he thought he had done very well that the class had been very interested in his yoga mats and that his subject about bicycle seats had been very badly presented.
I never did take up yoga and he hardly mentioned it again afterwards. I do not have the time to sit around meditating as my family demands so much of me but I do sit at my kitchen table sometimes and wonder about the many roles of a mom and whether making time to meditate may be nice.

My sister and I were going through our summer clothes the other day. It did not take us long to realize that we both needed some new things. Neither of us was big on wearing shorts but we loved wearing women’s Capri pants. We made plans to go shopping the next day to get us both new women’s Capri pants.
We headed out bright and early. We went to the mall where we knew had a lot of clothing stores. We figured that with that many stores we would find all of the women’s Capri pants that we wanted.
We were not disappointed because every store that we went in had a lot of women’s Capri pants in them. Each store had a lot of different kinds to choose from. Now our only problem was deciding which ones we were going to buy.
They had women’s Capri pants in all sizes. They also had them in all different colors. There were some with stripes and some with other prints. They had women’s Capri pants made out of denim, polyester, twill, cotton and other materials.
We tried on every pair that caught our interest because we knew how important it was that they fit right. If they were to long they would look like trousers that were too short. If they were too long than they would like shorts that were too long. We knew that the correct length is mid calf.
We both wanted some that were more casual and some that we could wear when we wanted to dress up. It took some searching and a lot of trying on but we both soon found the exact women’s Capri pants that we wanted.
Of course then we had to buy shirts and blouses to wear with the Capri’s. We then bought new flip flops to wear with the casual ones and sandals to wear with the dressier ones.

The last thing I read about was hoodies. It can get chilly on those early morning runs so a hoodies would be great for those mornings.
By the time I finished reading I felt well informed to be able to head out shopping. I took the information to heart and it paid off because my daughter was very pleased on Christmas day.

It may perhaps be risky to say but I usually do not see yoga as a man’s thing. Yoga Mats for Mary
Mary was worried. Take yourself to a desert island or wherever you want to go and spend at least 30 minutes there initially, then gradually increase it to one hour. Bob will understand” he added. He might even prepare dinner or take you out to eat. It’s very important that you do get some relaxation Mary or you will drive yourself to an early grave.
I did take his advice. Bob and I went out the next day and I bought a few yoga mats and I followed the doctors instructions. Now I look forward to getting home and rolling out my yoga mat knowing that I will soon be in a world of my own.
